Queen Camilla has never before made an official visit to Antigua and Barbuda
Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles and Queen Camilla will embark on an Autumn Tour spanning October 27th to November 4th, taking in The Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, and Guyana.
The King, who serves as Head of State in The Bahamas, will visit the island nation before travelling to Guyana for a State Visit requested by the UK Government and extended by the Guyanese President.
The tour is timed to coincide with the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua and Barbuda, with the broader programme celebrating communities, cultures and nature across the Commonwealth.
CHOGM will take place from 1st to 4th November in St John's, Antigua and Barbuda, drawing together leaders from all 56 member states of the Commonwealth.
Representatives from the business community, civil society groups and youth organisations will also attend the summit.
The gathering's theme, 'Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth', reflects the voluntary association's focus on economic collaboration.
As Head of the Commonwealth, the King will join delegates at what represents one of the largest multilateral leadership forums of the year.
The Guyanese State Visit will mark six decades of diplomatic relations between the UK and Guyana.
It will also be the King's second trip to the South American nation, having previously visited in February 2000, while his earliest connection to the Caribbean tour's destinations dates back to an official visit to The Bahamas in July 1973.
Queen Camilla has never before made an official visit to Antigua and Barbuda.
The King, however, travelled there as Prince of Wales in November 2017 in the aftermath of the destruction wrought by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
