Same-day delivery orders can now be placed as late as 11pm

Britons are in for a treat this summer as Asda has teamed up with Deliveroo to bring rapid grocery delivery to even more doorsteps.

The supermarket giant has just added more than 300 superstores to the delivery platform, which means over 850 Asda locations now offer the speedy service.

With the summer World Cup kicking off, supporters staying up late to cheer on their teams can now get essentials delivered without missing a goal.

The move is all about making sure fans have everything they need for those big match moments. Deliveroo orders from Asda can now be placed as late as 11pm, with some locations even stretching to midnight.

England fans gearing up for their 9pm fixture can order snacks and drinks right up until the final whistle.

And for Scotland supporters facing an 11pm start time, there's still time to stock up on match-night food, beverages, and even next-day essentials – all delivered straight to their door.

Vice President for Online Grocery at Asda, Barney Burgess, said: "Our ability to offer customers a broad and ever-growing range of services is a real strength for Asda, and expanding our partnership with Deliveroo builds on that.

"We're focused on making shopping as convenient as possible, and by bringing Deliveroo to even more stores, customers can enjoy great Asda products and value delivered to their doorstep."

VP Consumer at Deliveroo, Suzy McClintock, said: “Our expansion with Asda is a significant milestone in our continued mission to offer unmatched selection and great value groceries, delivered directly to your door. Now covering more than 850 stores and an increased range of over 10,000 products, we are bringing the ultimate convenience to more households across the UK.”

So what can fans actually get delivered?

The range covers fresh food, everyday essentials, and household favourites. Interestingly, the most popular items ordered between April 2025 and March 2026 weren't crisps or beer.

Bananas topped the list, followed by whole cucumbers, six pints of British milk, medium white bread, and strawberries.

For those catching up on football, Asda is running some limited deals throughout the tournament. Sport fans can grab two Exceptional by Asda pizzas for £10, plus there are beer offers to keep the drinks flowing during those tense penalty shootouts.
