It's all thanks to a new promotion from Amazon Music, which is offering four months for free. Sign up now, and stream over 100 million songs until Friday, January 15, 2027 without paying a penny.
Amazon Music includes access to CD-quality streams, hand-picked playlists, and ad-free podcasts too. Cancel anytime during this four-month free trial, and you can continue to listen at no cost, but you won't be charged. If you don't cancel during the trial period, Amazon Music will automatically renew at its usual £11.99 monthly rate.
That's the same monthly fee as Apple Music, and £1 cheaper than Spotify. Both of these rival services increased subscription costs for subscribers worldwide in the last year.
Of course, if you'd rather go back to using either of these services, you can reactivate Spotify or Apple Music ...albeit with a little extra cash in your current account. Amazon Music offers an almost identical selection of tracks to its rivals.
You can stream more than 100 million songs from the Amazon Music app on Android and iPhone, Amazon Echo and Echo Show speakers, PC and Mac, Smart TVs, Sonos speakers, games consoles, Fire TV, and many more.
Alexa integration should make hands-free listening straightforward, with you able to ask the AI assistant to start playing a particular genre, album, or playlist to fit a mood.
Amazon also includes one Audible audiobook each month, so you'll be able to enjoy the latest bestseller or autobiography read aloud to you across those same devices.
There are no adverts to interrupt your favourite songs, and you can skip forward as many times as you'd like through playlists and albums. Of course, you'll need to contend with both of these limitations if you decide to save money by downgrading your Spotify Premium account to the free Spotify subscription tier.
If you want to access the four months of free streaming via Amazon Music, you'll need to have a Prime membership. This annual loyalty scheme offers unlimited free delivery across hundreds of thousands of products sold on Amazon, access to Clarkson's Farm, The Grand Tour, The Boys, Fallout, Off Campus, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on its Prime Video streaming service, Kindle books, and more.
Prime membership costs £95 a year. If you don't have Prime, you can still stream music from Amazon Music for free — but the trial will be capped at three months, not the maximum of four. It's still a saving of £38.97 compared to keeping your Spotify subscription for that duration, but it's not the biggest discount available.
